  • Payment information: Processed directly by Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full card details on our servers

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, time spent, assessment completion rates, and interaction patterns
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and IP address
  • UTM parameters: Marketing source, medium, and campaign identifiers from inbound links

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Generate your personalized Tax Savings Blueprint and dashboard
  • Send transactional emails (magic links, assessment results, purchase confirmations)
  • Match you with tax professionals (see "Marketplace & Professional Matching" below)
  • Process payments and manage your account
  • Improve the Platform, assessment accuracy, and user experience
  • Measure advertising effectiveness and optimize marketing campaigns

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the Platform. Each service has its own privacy policy governing the data it processes:

Database, authentication, and user management

Data shared: Account info, assessment data, submission records

Stripe

Payment processing

Data shared: Email, payment method details (processed directly by Stripe)

Resend

Transactional and marketing email delivery

Data shared: Email address, first name

Calendar & Scheduling Services

Appointment booking and availability management (e.g., Cal.com, Calendly)

Data shared: Name, email, appointment time, meeting notes

Marketing Pixels (TikTok, Meta)

Advertising measurement and conversion tracking

Data shared: Page views, assessment completion events, device info (IP address, browser cookies)

Vercel

Website hosting and serverless functions

Data shared: Request logs, IP addresses

4. Marketplace & Professional Matching

If you choose to use our service to connect with a tax professional, we prioritize your privacy throughout the matching process:

  • Anonymized Matching: We share a generalized version of your tax profile (e.g., "Freelance Designer with $150k income") with potential professionals to determine fit. Your name and contact details are not shared at this stage.
  • Explicit Consent: Your personal contact information (name, email, phone) is only shared with a tax professional after you satisfy the matching criteria and explicitly agree to meet or schedule a consultation with them.

5. Cookies & Tracking

The Platform uses cookies and tracking pixels for:

  • Authentication: Session cookies to keep you signed in
  • Analytics: Understanding how users interact with the Platform
  • Advertising: TikTok and Meta Pixels track page views and conversion events (assessment completion) to measure advertising performance and enable retargeting

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain Platform functionality, including authentication.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and assessment data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, financial records).

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • Delete your account and associated personal data
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in each email

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via Supabase, and secure payment processing via Stripe. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
